On December 2, 2023, WingFarm joined Kenya National Farmers’ Federation (KENAFF), 2SCALE, Karai Youth Group and Rotaract Club of Menengai in a tree planting event. The initiative aimed to green the grounds of Baraka Primary School in Nakuru and contribute to environmental sustainability efforts in the region.
Armed with shovels and driven by enthusiasm, volunteers gathered at the school grounds early in the morning. The air buzzed with excitement as everyone collaborated to plant a variety of native tree species. The diverse selection promises to provide shade, improve air quality, and create a rich habitat for local wildlife.
Beyond the environmental benefits, the tree planting event fostered a sense of community spirit. Students from Baraka Primary School actively participated in the activity, learning valuable lessons about environmental stewardship and the importance of taking collective action.
